Web Accessibility - Let me in here.....
You will communicate no sensible message if your site is untidy, fiddly, complicated or slow. Site usability is not a luxury – it is an essential if you want to sell via the web, convince via the web, or educate.
Furthermore, legislation in the European Union and specific to the UK now require that certain accessibility rules be applied – are you aware of those rules and how to implement them?
Can someone with motor dysfunction, poor eyesight or indeed a slow old computer, access your website? Do you want to be worrying about that, or would you prefer to trust someone else to handle it?
We see it as our job to keep up with this stuff, and advise you on how to apply it, how to test it, and how to communicate.
Keep your own eye on surveys, guidelines and opinions on web design from W3C, Jakob Nielsen and others, and challenge us on where we go wrong.
